Resources Worth Exploring

I joined FFA as a founding member of Jericho High School’s chapter and have since had the chance to serve as Vice President and President, become a slated candidate for District President, and participate in a variety of FFA competitions and events. More than anything, FFA has been one of the most meaningful parts of my high school experience, giving me opportunities to meet new people, step outside my comfort zone, and explore my interests in agriculture and animal science. I would personally recommend FFA to any student looking for a welcoming community and a way to grow both personally and as a leader.

Through one-on-one mentorship, fellows move through the full research process, from refining a question and reviewing literature to developing methodology, analyzing results, and presenting their findings. As an ASPIRE Fellow, I conducted my study, “Investigating Spatial Fibroblast-Immune Crosstalk Driving Osteoarthritis,” which I later used as the basis for submissions to the Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) and academic journals, with results currently pending. The experience gave me the opportunity to independently develop a long-term research project while strengthening my skills in scientific writing, data analysis, and translational research.
