What I learned from a year of asking better questions

A year ago I recorded my first interview with a shaky microphone and a list of questions I was fairly sure were bad. Looking back at that list now, most of them were — too broad, too easy to answer with a single word, or built to confirm something I already believed rather than to actually learn something.
